Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5900 Lockwood
December 14, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 5900 Lockwood about 1 a.m. today.
The identity of the male victim, 55, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Fendia and Officer D. Henley reported:
The victim was driving a gold Pontiac Grand Prix at a high rate of speed northbound on Lockwood when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The victim, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, it has not been determined if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
