Investigation into Stabbing at 17435 Imperial Valley
December 11, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a male suspect and wounding of a woman at 17435 Imperial Valley about 12:10 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 10).
The suspect, Charles Spencer, 50, was stabbed in the torso during an argument with the victim, Andrea Phillips, 39, who sustained a cut to her hand.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Detectives A. Williams and B. Salazar reported:
Officers were dispatched to a stabbing call at an apartment complex at the above address and learned suspect Spencer forced his way into the apartment of his ex-girlfriend, Ms. Phillips. Spencer began to place his hands on Phillips and then grabbed a kitchen knife. Phillips attempted to get the knife, cut her hand and then managed to stab Spencer in the torso. Paramedics transported Spencer to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
The investigation is continuing. No charges have been filed at this time.
