Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2602 Wheeler
December 7, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2602 Wheeler about 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 6).
The identity of the victim, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Hay and Officer A. Vinogradov reported:
Witnesses stated the victim was shot by two males in the parking lot of a convenience store at the above address. Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspects are described only as two black males in their early to mid 20s. One was believed to be wearing a leather jacket and the other a light blue hoodie.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
