Suspect Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13300 Scott Street
August 14, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 13300 Scott Street about 4:15 p.m. on Sunday.
The male victim, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer N. Luu reported:
The driver of a black Nissan Altima was traveling northbound when she ran a red light at the above address and struck a white Ford F-350 pickup truck traveling eastbound on Almeda Genoa. The driver of the Ford had the green light. After being struck, the Ford struck a third vehicle, a red Dodge Dart, driven by the victim.
The driver and two juveniles in the Nissan were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford was not seriously injured.
The Nissan’s driver was examined by an officer with the HPD DWI Task Force and exhibited no obvious signs of intoxication.
There are currently no charges in this incident, pending further investigation.
