Suspects Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 2118 Sampson
August 4, 2017 - Charges have been filed against four suspects arrested who fired shots at Houston Police officers at 2118 Sampson about 3 a.m. on July 10.
Two suspects, Lionel Cox (b/m, 18) and Raymond Pace (b/m, 18), are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 178th State District Court. Suspect, Noah Davis (b/m, 22), is charged with aggravated assault against a public servant and possession with intent to deliver in the 228th State District Court. A fourth suspect, Jerod White (b/m, 26), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 230th State District Court.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer L. Bailey and Officer M. Millington reported:
HPD officers were on duty in an unmarked police vehicle in the 2100 block of Sampson when several unknown suspects fired shots at the vehicle. The vehicle was struck but the officers managed to avoid being struck by the gunfire and drove away from the location. At that time, two males were detained for questioning and then released.
The HPD Special Investigations Unit (SIU), along with the Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) and the South Central Patrol Tactical Unit initiated an investigation into the incident.
Further investigation identified Cox, Pace, Davis and White as suspects in this case and all four were subsequently charged for their roles.
