Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2502 Elysian

April 21, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2502 Elysian about 1 a.m. today.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer E. Aguilera and Officer S. Jimenez reported:

The victim and an unknown male suspect were in the parking lot of the La Playita bar at the above address when the suspect shot the man several times and then fled the scene.  Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The suspect is described only as an older Hispanic male.
