Investigation into Fatal Hit and Run Accident at 6100 Clarewood

April 21, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash that occurred at 6100 Clarewood at about 9:15 p.m. on April 15.

The victim, Pablo Tistoj-Vasquez, 33, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer J. Hill reported:

Mr. Tistoj-Vasquez was riding a bicycle at the above address when the driver of a silver sedan ran a stop sign at Clarewood and Ashcroft and struck him.  The victim was thrown from his bicycle and struck a parked Toyota Tundra pickup truck.  The unknown suspect then fled the scene without stopping to render aid. 

Tistoj-Vasquez was transported to the hospital and, on Wednesday (April 20), he was pronounced deceased.
