Fatal Crash at 200 North Loop West
September 19, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 200 North Loop West (North Interstate Highway 610) service road about 8:20 p.m. last Friday (September 16).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer F. Flynn reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the service road - not at a crosswalk - when he was struck by a gray Chevrolet Equinox. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The male driver, 80, did not show any signs of intoxication and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
