Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11800 Galveston Road
September 13, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 11800 Galvesston Road about 12:40 p.m. today (September 13).
The female victim, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer A. Michon reported:
The driver of a red Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling northbound on Galveston Road, falied to control his speed and struck a gray Volkswagon Golf. The Chevrolet then swerved to the right and struck a guardrail. The Volkswagon spun out to the left and came to a stop in the driveway of a gas station.
The driver of the Volkswagon was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet, 63, was transported to Clear Lake Regional Hospital in critical condition. It is believed the driver of the pickup truck suffered a medical episode just prior to the accident.
The investigation is continuing.
