Investigation into Fatal Crash at 14100 Northwest Freeway
September 12, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 14100 Northwest Freeway (U. S. Highway 290) about 8:55 p.m. on Sunday (September 11).
The female victim, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
The driver of a black Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling westbound on the Northwest Freeway when, for unknown reasons, failed to stay in a single lane and struck a barricade and a concrete divider. The pickup truck then went airborne and landed on a white Toyota Rav4 . The driver of the Rav4 (victim) died at the scene. The driver of the Ford and his passenger suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation continues.
