Investigation into Female Found Fatally Shot at 2400 Staples
September 6, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 2400 Staples at about 4:40 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 4).
The victim, Viola Pickney, 33, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Senior Police Officer B. Evans reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting call at the above address and discovered Ms. Pickney lying in a vacant field, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspect(s).
