Investigation into Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash at 1608 Margaret
October 31, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 1608 Margaret at 9:40 p.m. on Saturday (October 29).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer Rios reported:
According to a witness, the victim was lying in the middle of the street at the above address when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The vehicle, believed to be an unknown model of a Ford, was traveling westbound on Margaret when the driver struck the victim and then fled the scene. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
