Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8500 Broadway
October 31, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another that occurred at 8500 Broadway at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday (October 29).
The identity of the deceased male victim, 45, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers B. Roberts and E. Aguilera reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call in the 4000 block of Broadway and found two wounded men outside a vehicle. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, the second was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he is expected to survive. It is believed the victims were shot at 8500 Broadway, fled that scene and then called 911.
