Fatal Crash at 8600 South Gessner
October 31, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 8600 South Gessner at about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 29).
The identity of the male victim, 66, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Williams and Officer J. Baker reported:
The victim was walking south across the eastbound lanes of South Gessner, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck by a black Chevrolet Malibu. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Malibu stayed at the scene, was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
