Fatal Crash at 3000 North Freeway
October 24, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash at 3000 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 10:50 p.m. on Saturday (October 22).
The male victim, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer Y. Haq reported:
The driver of a white Ford E-450 bus was traveling northbound on the North Freeway and struck the victim, who was walking in the middle of a moving lane of traffic. The victim died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford remained at the scene, was questioned and released.
