Fatal Crash at 13000 Almeda Road
October 19, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 13000 Almeda Road about 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday (October 18).
The female victim, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer S. Coke reported:
The victim, wearing dark clothing, was walking in the middle of a moving lane of traffic in a dark area on Almeda Road when she was struck by a Nissan Rogue traveling southbound. The driver of the Nissan, who was determined not to be impaired, remained at the scene, was questioned and released.
