Fatal Crash at 7937 Gulf Freeway
October 17, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7937 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 9:10 p.m. last Friday (Oct. 14).
The identity of the deceased male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer J. Baker reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was attempting to run across the main lanes of the Gulf Freeway at the above address when he was struck by a black Jeep Cherokee traveling northbound on the freeway. A second vehicle, a blue Scion xB, also struck the pedestrian. The drivers of both vehicles stopped, were questioned, determined not to be impaired and then released.
