Investigation into Fatal Crash at 100 Southwest Freeway
October 10, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 100 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) about 11:05 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 9).
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer K. Hines reported:
The victim was driving a black Mercedes-Benz E63 eastbound in the 3800 block of Hamilton when he failed to maintain a single lane and struck the guard rail of the overpass. He was ejected from his vehicle and fell to the highway (Southwest Freeway) below, where he was struck by several vehicles.
The investigation is continuing.
