Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2300 West 11th Street
October 3, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 2300 West 11th Street at about 4:25 a.m. On Saturday (Oct. 1).
The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kopulos and Officer O. Bledsoe reported:
The victim was driving a tan Chrysler 300 eastbound on West 11th Street at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and failed to maintain a single lane. The vehicle then struck a tree in the grassy median and caught fire. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
