Investigation into Male's Death at 3900 Mowery
November 15, 2016 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the apparent accidental death of a male at 3900 Mowery about 11:55 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 14).
The victim, Alfredo Oviedo, 39, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers S. Jimenez and T. Jackson reported:
Mr. Oviedo is suspected to have been removing tires from a recently reported stolen truck. While underneath the truck, it appears he might have adjusted the car jacks holding up the truck. The jacks failed and the truck fell on Oviedo.
The incident appears to be accidental, pending the results of an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
