Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12500 Gulf Freeway
November 14, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12500 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 4:30 p.m. last Friday (Nov. 11).
The male victim, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer P. Ngo reported:
The victim was driving a blue Honda Civic when he attempted to enter the freeway at an apparent high rate of speed. He lost control of his vehicle and struck a concrete pillar.
No other vehicles nor individuals were involved in this incident.
The investigation is continuing.
