Fatal Crash at 10100 Katy Freeway
November 7, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 10100 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road about 3:10 a.m. today (November 7).
The identity of the male victim, 25, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer T. Riley reported:
The victim was driving a black Honda Civic at a high rate of speed westbound on the Katy Freeway service road and failed to stay in a single lane. The vehicle then struck a power pole on the north side of the road. The victim died at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
