Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2398 Aldine-Westfield
November 7, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 2398 Aldine-Westfield about 7:35 a.m. on Sunday (November 6).
The female victim was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. Her identity is pending verification by th Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer L. Ho reported:
The driver of a white Ford F-250 van was traveling southbound on Aldine-Westfield and ran a red light at the intersection of Tidwell. The van then struck a red Ford F-150 pickup truck and a passenger in the pickup truck (victim) was transported to the hospital where she died. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation determined neither driver was impaired.
The investigation is continuing.
