Composite Sketch of Suspect Wanted in Kidnapping Investigation
November 4, 2016 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in a kidnapping incident that occurred at 7600 Tidwell Road about 8:15 a.m. on October 18.
The suspect is described only as a black male about 40 to 50 years of age, with a medium build, brown eyes, bald and no facial hair. He has distinctive loose skin under his chin, similar to a "double chin" and was wearing navy blue cargo shorts and a black polo T-shirt.
A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this news release.
On October 18, a juvenile male, 13, was walking to school westbound in the 7600 block of Tidwell and, as he crossed a bridge, a white van approached and stopped next to him. The driver (suspect) asked the juvenile if he needed a ride to school. Believing it was a van that picked up children to go to school, the boy got into the front passenger seat of the van. At some point, the suspect inappropriately touched the boy and then offered him money to perform sexual acts. When the boy resisted, the suspect tried to forcibly place the boy's hand in his lap. When the vehicle stopped at a red light, the boy managed to roll down the window, open the door from the outside and flee from the vehicle.
Anyone with information in this case or on the identity of the wanted suspect is urged to contact the HPD Northeast Patrol Division at 713-635-0200 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
