UPDATE: Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1000 North Lane
May 12, 2016 - Houston police have learned the identity of a man found fatally shot at 1000 North Lane about 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday (May 11).
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has identified the victim as Cortez Brown, Jr., 20 years of age.
HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Arrington and C. Sharp reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting on Knox at North Lane and found Mr. Brown lying in the roadway. He had been shot several times and was deceased.
At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
