Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6202 Darlinghurst Drive
May 2, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6202 Darlinghurst Drive about 12:40 a.m.on Sunday (May 1).
The identity of the female victim, one year of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer G. Anderson reported:
A female was backing her vehicle, a white Dodge Nitro, out of the garage when she accidentally struck her one-year-old daughter. Paramedics pronounced the child dead at the scene. It is not known how the baby managed to wander behind the vehicle. The driver was determined not to be impaired and was released pending further investigation.
