Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2700 Sampson Street
March 29, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman that occurred at 2700 Sampson Street about 2:15 a.m. today (March 29). The victim, believed to be in her 30s, suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the back and was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers R. Pemberton and S. Gromyko reported:
HPD patrol officers were stopped by a citizen who reported a woman was unresponsive at the above address. Upon arrival, officers found the woman and performed CPR until Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported her to a hospital. While at the scene, officers also learned a male and his dog had both been shot in the 2900 block Sampson. The victim, believed to be in his 50s, was also transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The man's dog was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
