Investigation into Fatal Shooting of Robbery Suspect at 8624 West Montgomery
March 25, 2016 - The fatal shooting of a robbery suspect at 8624 West Montgomery about 9:25 a.m. today (March 25) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the male suspect is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Winningham and C. Liu reported:
The suspect entered the Family Dollar store at the above address with his face covered and his hand inside his jacket pocket, as if holding a gun. He then demanded money from the cashier. The cashier produced a weapon and fired at the suspect, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
