Investigation into Fatal Crash at 15100 Eastex Freeway Service Road
March 22, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 15100 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) service road about 12:15 a.m. today (March 22).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roque and Officer G. Anderson reported:
According to witnesses, the victim was driving a black Ford Explorer on the Eastex Freeway when he apparently lost control of the SUV. The vehicle left the freeway and came to a stop in a grassy area of a business on the freeway service road. The Ford then caught fire. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
