Investigation into Fatal Shooting of Woman Found at 7320 Holtcamp
March 21, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 7320 Holtcamp about 12:15 p.m. on Sunday (March 20).
The victim, Esmeralda Martinez, 18, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Semmelrock and Senior Police Office M. Stahlin reported:
Ms. Martinez's mother left their residence at the above address about 8 a.m., leaving Martinez and her boyfriend at the location. Martinez's mother returned home about 12:15 p.m. and found her lying in her bed unresponsive, and her boyfriend no longer at the residence. Neighbors then called 9-1-1. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Martinez deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
It is believed this incident is possibly related to an officer-involved shooting at 200 70th Street earlier the same morning.
