Fatal Crash at 5400 North Freeway

March 07, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 5400 North Freeway about 8:50 p.m. on Sunday (March 6).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer L. Galvan reported:

The victim was attempting to walk across the main lanes of the North Freeway at the above address when he was struck by a blue Toyota Matrix traveling southbound on the freeway.  The driver stopped, was questioned by investigators and released with no charges filed.  The victim, who was at fault, was pronounced dead at the scene.
