Fatal Crash at 9300 U.S. Highway 90
June 27, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9300 U.S. Highway 90 about 5:45 a.m. on Saturday (June 25).
The identity of the deceased male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer J. Best reported:
An 18-wheeler was disabled in a moving lane of traffic at the above address after its trailer was struck by another vehicle. At some point later, the driver (victim) of a gray Mazda Protege failed to control his speed and struck the disabled trailer. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
