Investigation into Fatal Crash at 18403 Gulf Freeway
June 27, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 18403 Gulf Freeway (State Highway 45 South) about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday (June 25).
The identity of the deceased male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer J. Hill reported:
The victim was driving a tan Chevrolet 1500 truck northbound in the far right lane of the Gulf Freeway when his truck swerved to the far left lane and struck a concrete guard rail. The truck then struck the rear of a white Chevrolet Camaro and rolled several times, ejecting the driver from the truck. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. No one else was injured in the crash.
