Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6300 North Freeway
June 20, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 6300 North Freeway (North Interstate 45) at about 2:25 a.m. on Saturday (June 18).
The identity of the victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer J. Jorsch reported:
The victim was walking in a moving lane of traffic on the entrance road to the North Freeway at the above address when he was struck by a Buick entering the freeway. The driver of the Buick did not stop and failed to stop and render aid. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
