Investigation into Child's Death at 1286 Hopper
June 17, 2016 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a child found at 1286 Hopper about 1:50 p.m. on Thursday (June 16).
The identity of the male victim, 3, of the above address, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Arrington and C. Sharp reported:
The child had been playing with his siblings when his parents discovered he had been missing. The child was discovered in the back seat of his parent’s vehicle parked in the front yard. The child was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation revealed the child slipped outside unnoticed and entered the vehicle without his parent’s knowledge. The case is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
