Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3200 North Freeway
June 6, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 3200 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 7:50 a.m. today.
The male victim, 54, was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer L. Ho reported:
The victim was driving a gray Hyundai Sonata northbound at the above address when he may have suffered a medical episode, failed to maintain a single lane, and struck a gray van. The Hyundai then struck a center retaining wall and began traveling backwards (southbound) before striking a yellow Dodge Caravan whose driver had stopped after witnessing the initial crash. The Caravan then struck a fourth vehicle.
No other individuals were injured in this incident.
The investigation is continuing.
