Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7500 Airline
June 6, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 7500 Airline about 12:45 a.m. on Sunday (June 5).
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer F. Flynn reported:
The driver of a gray Chevrolet Suburban was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Airline when he lost control of the vehicle. The Suburban then struck a grass median, rolled several times and struck a telephone pole. The driver died on impact. A female passenger in the Suburban was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
The investigation is continuing.
