Investigation into Fatal Crash at 15400 Lee Road
June 3, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 15400 Lee Road about 9:55 p.m. on Thursday (June 2).
The female victim, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Pate and Officer Y. Haq reported:
The victim was standing in a moving lane of traffic on Lee Road and, according to witnesses, attempted to flag down passing vehicles. She was then struck by a vehicle described only as a red dually truck of unknown make or model. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled the scene.
