Suspects Sought in Fatal Shooting at 12300 Fleming Drive


July 31, 2016 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating three suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 12300 Fleming Drive about 11 a.m. on Saturday (July 30). 

The victim, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Harris and Senior Police Officer M. Waters II reported:  

The victim was standing by his vehicle in the parking lot of the Falls of Birchbrook Apartments at the above address when three unknown male suspects drove up in a silver-colored vehicle.  Two suspects, the front and rear seat passengers, exited the vehicle.  The rear seat passenger was armed with a pistol.  Both males approached the victim and demanded money.  As the victim struggled with the suspect holding the gun, the driver got out of the vehicle.  During the struggle, the victim was fatally shot.  The suspects got back into the vehicle and fled the scene on Maxey Road.  

The suspects are described only as three Hispanic males.  The shooter has a medium build with short black hair.  He wore a black tank top and jeans.  The driver had a large build with long black hair.  The front seat passenger had a slim build with short black hair and a white "tank top" T-shirt.  They were seen in a silver-colored, four-door sedan, possibly a Chrysler with damage to the left rear bumper and partial Texas license plates D4861 or D6148.  Surveillance photos of the vehicle are attached to this news release.
