Investigation into Male's Death at 12300 Beechnut
July 22, 2016 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 12300 Beechnut about 3:40 p.m. on Thursday (July 21).
The victim's identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rhodes and Officer T. Fay reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a request by Houston Fire Department paramedics to meet them at the above location. Upon arrival, they observed the body of the male in an advanced state of decomposition. At this time, it is believed the male may have been living in a make-shift shelter located in a wooded area of the above address.
