Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 12400 Market Street
January 25, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and the wounding of another at 12400 Market Street about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 24).
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. A second male also suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn, Senior Police Officer J. Roscoe and Officer J. Nielsen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address where they observed the deceased male victim. Subsequent investigation determined both victims had been shot during an apparent robbery.
The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He is clean shaven and reported to be bilingual. Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
