Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8311 Bellaire Boulevard
January 11, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8311 Bellaire Boulevard that occurred about 1 p.m. last Thursday (Jan. 7).
The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones reported:
The victim was walking on a sidewalk when the driver of a gold Hummer H3 backed in an unsafe manner from a private driveway and struck the victim. Paramedics transported the female pedestrian to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The male driver was questioned at the scene.
The investigation is continuing with no charges filed at this time.
