Fatal Crash at 12900 South Post Oak Road
January 04, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12900 South Post Oak Road about 1:20 a.m. today (January 4).
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer M. Pritchard reported:
A tractor-trailer truck was stopped at a red light at the intersection of South Post Oak Road and 5300 Allum. The victim was driving a black Honda Accord at a high rate of speed and struck the rear of the 18-wheeler. The driver of the Honda died at the scene. A passenger in the Honda was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
The investigation is continuing.
