Fatal Crash at 7200 Katy Freeway
February 17, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7200 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 11 p.m. on Tuesday (February 16).
The male victim, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Rossman and Senior Police Officer J. Gaona reported:
The victim was operating a black Ducati Monster motorcycle on the ramp from the westbound lanes of the Katy Freeway to the West Loop (West Interstate Highway 610), failed to stay in a single lane and lost control of the motorcycle. The victim was ejected from the motorcycle. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
