Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4300 Broadleaf
February 1, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4300 Broadleaf about 5:15 pm. last Friday (January 29).
The male victim, 3, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kopulos and Officer P. Ngo reported:
The driver of a white GMC Sierra pickup truck was stopped in a residential road at the above address facing westbound and speaking with a neighborhood acquaintance while inside the vehicle. The driver then slowly pulled forward, unaware the victim was in the roadway on his bicycle, and struck him. The victim died at the scene. The driver showed no signs of intoxication and was released.
The investigation is continuing.
