Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9400 Kempwood
December 29, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 9400 Kempwood about 7:25 p.m. on Wednesday (December 28).
The identity of the male victim, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer S. Le reported:
The victim was driving a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer at a high rate of speed eastbound on Kempwood when he lost control and left the roadway. The vehicle then struck a large concrete and steel pole. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to witnesses, the Chevrolet appeared to be racing a black car of unknown make and model.
