Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4200 Phlox
December 27, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 4200 Phlox at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday (December 24).
The victim, Sherman Rambo, 48, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Chebret and Senior Police Officer M. Waters II reported:
The victim got into an altercation with the suspect at the intersection of Phlox and Ferdinand. The suspect produced a pistol and fired more than one times at the victim, causing him to fall into the ditch. The suspect then fled in a dark blue or black older model Suburban with 20" chrome rims and chrome trim along the side near the bottom of the doors.
The suspect is described only as a black male, approximately six feet tall, 200 to 250 pounds, wearing a dark colored t-shirt, blue jeans, a dark colored baseball cap and a gold chain necklace.
