Investigation into Shooting at 2754 Longleaf Pines Lane
December 27, 2016 - The fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 2754 Longleaf Pines Lane at about 9:55 p.m. on Saturday (December 24) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Officer B. Roberts reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found a resident had confronted a male who was attempting to burglarize his house. The resident shot the male at least one time. The male was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both the resident and witnesses were questioned at the scene and released.
