Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8900 South Braeswood Boulevard
December 22, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8900 South Braeswood Boulevard about 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 21).
The victim, 18, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rhodes and Officer M. Dykens reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting in the strip center parking lot at the above address and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he died.
A possible suspect, observed on surveillance video, is described only as a Hispanic male, approximately 19-20 years old, with medium wavy hair, a skinny build, and wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
A copy of the surveillance video is not available at this time. However, a surveillance photo of the possible suspect is attached to this news release.
