Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6400 West Bellfort
December 9, 2016 - A man critically injured in a fatal hit-and-run crash at 6400 West Bellfort about 6:05 p.m. on November 27 has died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim, 47, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. He was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital on Wednesday (Dec. 7).
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Duplechain and Officer Y. Haq reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the street at the above address when he was struck by a red pickup truck traveling westbound on West Bellfort. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
